Robbinsville FD Receives $50,000 ARP Grant

Robbinsville Among 353 Fire Departments to Receive American Rescue Plan Firefighter Grants From State

TRENTON - (March 5, 2024) - The Robbinsville Township Fire Department has been awarded $50,000 through the American Rescue Plan Firefighters Grant Program administered by the State of New Jersey.

The funding will be utilized to assist the department in purchasing additional Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for its personnel.

“I am pleased my Administration was able to double the allocation of ARP funds in this year’s budget from $10 million to $20 million to fire departments, which provide critical, life-saving services in our communities,” Gov. Phil Murphy said. "The continuation of the American Rescue Plan Firefighter Grant Program for a second cycle means local governments don’t have to break the bank to get firefighters the gear and equipment they need. We’re putting our federal tax dollars to use here in New Jersey communities for essential services.”

The American Rescue Plan Firefighters Grant Program was administered by the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, Division of Local Government Services, providing a total of 20 million dollars to 353 local fire departments.
