ABOUT THE SENIOR CENTER:

The Township of Robbinsville Senior Center was built in 1991 and renamed the Vincent J. Calcagno Senior Center on December 16, 2021.

The center was built as a recreational facility for senior citizens/active older adults within the township. Until February of 1998, the Center was utilized by the Senior Club for meetings, parties, and other recreational needs.
sc-valentineIn February of 1998, the Township, with the cooperation and financial support of Mercer County, opened a nutrition site at the center and expanded activities to include lunch provided Monday through Friday to all adults age 60 and above. There is a suggested donation of $1 per day and reservations are required. The center features a completely remodeled community lounge featuring a large screen HD television, an all-activities space and a game room. There also is a computer with internet and printing access in the main lobby.
The Vincent J. Calcagno Senior Center is a deed-restricted municipal structure for activities, services, and programs serving the social, recreational, and educational and welfare needs of the senior citizen community of the Township of Robbinsville. The building will be used primarily and predominantly by senior citizens.

Permitted uses of the building, whether senior-oriented or not, shall be determined by the the Senior Center manager. Monthly newsletters detailing all current programs and activities are available on the Township website and at the Senior Center.
