On December 14, 2023 the Robbinsville Township Police & Fire Departments, along with the Plainsboro PD, presented a check for $7,315 to Kenny Maddalena, a wonderful friend of the department currently battling Stage 4 colon cancer.
PBA #344 wishes to thank all who participated and donated to Kenny, who was overwhelmed by the entire "No Shave November" experience.
"When I leave, I want to leave with memories, not dreams," he said.
Since 2017, "No Shave November" efforts have raised over $40,000 for various types of cancer research and related charities.
Previous beneficiaries include Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Joe Barker and Paula Kivet, Thea's Star of Hope, Tyler Odman and "Tyler's Tribe," "Pat's Purpose" and the Jillybean Foundation in memory of Jill Lecorchick.
