RTPD Help Raise $8,225 During "No Shave November"

ROBBINSVILLE, NJ - (December 16, 2021) - Inspired by the late Joe Barker, once again this November a number of Robbinsville Township police officers joined with neighboring Police Departments and PBA locals for the 5th Annual “No-Shave November” – an initiative aimed at raising funds for cancer treatment and research.

This year's beneficiary was the "JillyBean Foundation" named in memory of Jill Lecorchick, who was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer at just 32 years old. Jill used her own experiences to help other women every day and continued to fight until she lost her battle. Her memory and goals to help others live on through the JillyBean Foundation," started in her memory by Jill's husband Kevin Lecorchick and her sister-in-law, Katrina Larson.
Since 2017, "No Shave November" efforts have raised over $25,000 for various types of cancer research and related charities, including $8,225 this year as part of an effort led by officer Allison Ricci, a close friend of the Lecorchick family.
Previous beneficiaries include Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Joe Barker and Paula Kivet, Thea's Star of Hope and Tyler Odman (aka "Tyler's Tribe"). Winner of this year's best beard was Detective Wayne Haugh (inset). Patrolman & School Resource Officer Edward Vincent had won the previous four years.
