Polls on June 6 are open from 6 a.m. – 8 p.m.  You must be registered as either a Democrat or Republican to vote in this election.  Undeclared voters may declare either Democrat or Republican at the polls. You will be voting on a paper ballot using a sharpie marker on election day.

The New Jersey Division of Elections is partnering with New Jersey counties to seek residents to serve as poll workers for the upcoming June 6 Primary Election.

Workers earn $21.43 per hour on in-person early voting days and $300 on Primary Election Day.

“We encourage citizens to participate and see our great democracy in action, firsthand,” New Jersey Secretary of State Tahesha Way, said in a statement. “Applicants who qualify will be paid to serve their community and our state.”

Those interested are encouraged to submit an application through Pollworker.NJ.Gov.

Possible work dates for the Primary Election include:
In-person Early Voting Period: June 2-4, 2023.
Primary Election Day: June 6, 2023

Applicants must be:

A United States citizen and a resident of New Jersey.
A registered voter in the county in which you reside.
At least 16 years of age. College and high school students are encouraged to apply.

(Those under 18 will work limited hours per shift and do not have to be registered to vote. Contact your County Board of Elections for further information.)

Workers cannot be running as a candidate in this election.
