Robbinsville Township Website Is Now ADA Compliant
ROBBINSVILLE, NJ - (March 13, 2019) - Robbinsville Township is extremely proud to announce its award-winning website (www.robbinsville.net) is now ADA compliant.
Effective March 12, 2019, our website meets the updated WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) 2.1 AA rating. The upgrade was approved by Township Business Administrator Joy Tozzi, a generous supporter of individuals with disabilities and special needs, and was performed by Revize Software.
The new ADA filter button on the upper left corner of the landing page below the banner features enhancements such as:
- Increased Font Size
- High Contrast
- Yellow Links
- Grey Scale
- Underline Links
For the hearing impaired, the Closed Captioning (CC) is available via YouTube for our library of videos. Look for the “CC’’ icon in the lower right area of the video tray.
Other enhancements, including creating transcripts for any audio files uploaded to the website, will be forthcoming.
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was developed in 1990 and is meant to ensure that people with disabilities have the same opportunities as anyone else. With such widespread use of the internet, ADA compliance also applies to websites and even mobile apps.
