HILLSIDE: Road repair and skid-resistant "Micro-Surfacing" will begin on or about September 3, 2019 in the Hillside development.
The paving contractor will go door-to-door to notify residents, who will be encouraged not to park on the street during work hours beginning at 8 a.m, but may return after about 3 p.m. or earlier when the contractor opens the roadway for the day. Designated daily closures will begin on or about Sept. 9.
The Department of Public Works will coordinate garbage pickup and recycling with the contractor. Please have your cans to the street by 6:30 a.m. for first pick up in the morning before the roadwork begins. Deliveries cannot be ‘trucked’ over the new surfacing until the material has cured and the roadway re-opened later in the day. Accommodations will be made for school buses once the new year begins.
Work is expected to take less than 30 days on the following streets:
* Grell Place (from Stanley Drive to Richardson Road)
SPRINGSIDE: Please be advised, commencing on or about Thursday, September 5, Sharbell Development will begin to prepare for final roadway paving:
* Angelina Way & Thomas Drive
* Intersection of Thomas Drive & Gordon Road
During the scheduled improvement project, access to your garage entrance-ways will be NOT be accessible between the hours of 7 a.m. & 6 p.m. daily. Please plan accordingly, as NO VEHICLES will be permitted on the above referenced roadway systems during these times. The project duration is anticipated to be completed within two (2) business days. All work will be weather permitting.
During this improvement project, please be aware of safety measures that will be provided in work areas and which are necessary to aid in your safety and the safety of our contractors. Your cooperation will assist us in completing this improvement in the time allotted.
PROJECT FREEDOM: On or about September 1, 2019, Project Freedom will begin construction on a 72-unit affordable housing project in Town Center South.
Project Freedom's second barrier-free complex in the Township is helping Robbinsville meet its lawful affordable housing obligation. The apartment-style housing will be available to both individuals with disabilities, as well as families in need of affordable housing.
There will be a new entrance road built, South Commerce Street, which will be an extension of North Commerce Street. Construction by general contractor V.J. Scozzari & Sons will last approximately 14 months, weather permitting. Work hours will be no earlier than 7 a.m. on the weekdays and no later than 6 p.m. On Saturdays, the work hours will be no earlier than 8 a.m. and no later than 4 p.m. There will be no work on Sundays.
Motorists can expect minor delays on Route 33 at the start of the project, with the likelihood of detours and lane closures increasing as constructing progresses.
