“Police Appreciation Week” July 31 to August 6, 2017 in Robbinsville Township

ROBBINSVILLE, NJ – (July 7, 2016) – Robbinsville Township Mayor Dave Fried signed Executive Order 2017-55 declaring July 31 to August 6, 2017 as “Police Appreciation Week” throughout the Township.

Blue ribbons and blue lights will be prominently featured at all municipal buildings, including, but not limited to, the Municipal Building, Police Headquarters, the Senior Center, the Department of Public Works and the Fire Department.
Residents and businesses are invited to show their support and appreciation for our law enforcement officers with blue ribbons and Navy blue lights adorning their properties beginning Monday, July 31 through Sunday, August 6. Local businesses wishing to show their support with window signs can pick them up at the Municipal Building at 2298 Route 33 and at Police Headquarters, located at 1117 Route 130 North, in the coming weeks.

“Showing our appreciation to police officers in Robbinsville and across the country, men and women who put their lives on the line for us every day, is something we are very passionate about,’’ Mayor Fried said. “The anti-law enforcement sentiment still gripping our nation has to stop. These men and women puts their lives on the line every single day to protect and serve the public. We can never understate that.”
The RPD once again is proud to host National Night Out on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. outside of police headquarters. The primary parking entrance for the event is via Folsom Way and Robbinsville-Allentown Road (Route 526).

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live.

There will be free food, free kids games, demonstration by the fire department, inflatables, firetruck rides, police station tours, vendors from many civic organizations, vintage cars and much more.

There also will be a bicycle drive hosted by the Robbinsville Hamilton Rotary Club August 1. Drop off newer or used bikes at the Municipal Complex between 6-8 p.m. to benefit the Boys' & Girls' Club of Mercer County. For more information visit BikeExchangeNJ.org.
