Christopher Nitti Named New Robbinsville Township Chief of Police

ROBBINSVILLE, NJ – (April 26, 2016) – Robbinsville Mayor Dave Fried announced Tuesday that Robbinsville Township Police Lieutenant Christopher Nitti was promoted to Chief of Police.
Nitti, 42, originally joined the RPD as a communications officer in July of 1993. He graduated from the Trenton Police Academy and was sworn in as Washington Township patrol officer in 1997.
Nitti - CopyElevated to the detective bureau in April of 2001, Nitti was promoted to Sergeant in January of 2008 with the responsibility of supervising both the patrol squad and the detective bureau.

In September of 2013 Nitti was named Lieutenant - a capacity he shared with Lt. Michael Polaski and Lt. Sandra Bainbridge – until today. The three Robbinsville Township lieutenants had been rotating in the role of police chief since the retirement of Martin P. Masseroni in November, 2015.

Nitti lives in Hamilton Township and with his wife, Kelly, and sons Jordan and Braedan.
