2008 FALL LEAF COLLECTION SCHEDULE

State storm water management laws require Township of Robbinsville to update its leaf collection policy this fall. To meet these requirements and keep our streets clean, we ask for your cooperation.

• Leaves will be collected from October 27, 2008, to January 9, 2009.
  
  
• The township is divided into six sectors for pickup. Please see the attached map and neighborhood list for your section. On weeks when your neighborhood is scheduled, leaves must be at the curb by 7am Monday. Curbside placement includes Town Center.
  
  
• Please place leaves in long, narrow rows along the curb.
  
  
• LEAVES SHOULD NOT BE IN BAGS. The township’s equipment vacuums or scoops leaves and puts them directly in a garbage truck.

State environmental laws require the township to pick up leaves within seven days. To do this, we must pick up leaves on assigned weeks. Please do not place leaves on the curb in between pickups -- we could be fined!

• Do not place leaves within 10 feet of a storm drain inlet.
  
  
• Do not park cars in front of rows of leaves. If this happens, township equipment cannot reach the leaves.
  
  
• Do not mix twigs or debris with leaves. Brush is collected separately and can damage leaf-collection equipment. Leaves with debris will be skipped.
  
  
• Contractors and landscapers must follow the schedule or take leaves away.
