After years of community involvement, Sheree McGowan was sworn in to her first term on Township Council July 1, 2009. She was re-elected to a four-year term in November of 2013 on the same ticket as Mayor Dave Fried and Councilman Vince Calcagno.
Mrs. McGowan is a two-term Council President (2010 & 2014) and was elected Vice President in 2011. She also served for seven years on the Planning Board and currently is liaison to the Economic Development Advisory Committee (EDAC), as well as the Green Team Advisory Committee.
Prior to election Mrs. McGowan was a member of the initial transition team in 2005 when the township changed its form of government. She also served as Council liaison to the Affordable Housing Committee, Plan Endorsement Committee and the Rent Leveling Board.
A 16-year Robbinsville Township resident, Mrs. McGowan holds B.S. degrees in accounting and finance from Rider University, where she also earned her M.B.A. Mrs. McGowan has enjoyed a successful career in the mortgage industry for more than 20 years.
