Beat the Winter Blues with KidzArt!

Using nature and winter as our inspiration we will produce some great pieces of art with subjects that include watercolor trees, walruses, egrets and geckos! We will draw and watercolor paint and complete a clay project as well. Also, have fun working on improving your cartooning with a few whimsical drawings to complete the session!

Winter Fun with LEGO® Bricks
Don’t get left out in the cold! Bring the winter fun indoors with interactive Bricks 4 Kidz models of some popular winter activities from the hair-raising thrill of the luge to the more  relaxing pace of the horse and sleigh. We’ll build the all-business snowplow as well as the all-fun snow mobile. And our winter theme wouldn’t be complete without ice hockey and skiing. No snow? No problem – all you need to create these winter memories are our bricks and your imagination.

Cool Tools for the Kitchen
Chef It Up gets the kids in the kitchen learning about & using a different kitchen tool in class each week!  Week #1 we will be using a cheese grater to grate fresh mozzarella and zest lemons to make pizza & a dessert. Week #2 we'll be using manual juicers to make fresh squeezed lemonade and apple corers to make mini apple pies. Week #3 is a blender to make fresh pesto
for pesto pizza along with a garlic press to make our garlic knots!  And week #4 we will use a strawberry slicer to make our strawberry shortcake cupcakes and end with an ice cream smoothie!  Definitely a fun way to introduce kids to a variety of
the gadgets we have in our kitchen and their function while whipping up some deliciousness too! We will also be discussing a variety of herbs we use in class too!
