How Do I Dispose Of Guide For Robbinsville

APPLIANCES OR ANY METAL ITEMS - Call Public Works at 609-259-0422 to schedule a pickup the last Wednesday of each month or you may drop them off at Public Works.

*Car / Boat / Wet Cell - Drop off at Public Works only

*Alkaline / Dry Cell - example: AAA, AA, C, D & 9 volt - Household trash Do Not Recycle

*Rechargeable, Nickel Cadmium (Ni-Cd), Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-MH), Lithium Ion (Li-ion), Nickel Zinc
(Ni-Zn), & Small Sealed Lead (SSLA-PB) example: watch, cell phone, power tools & camera batteries - Drop off locations at Public Works and Senior Center.

BUILDING MATERIALS/ HOME REPAIR DEBIS - Household trash cut up in no longer than 4 foot lengths, tied and bundled, bagged or put into a container, no more than 50 pounds, nails and screws removed or bent over to avoid hazards.  Limited to two bundles, bags or containers per week.

CARPET
- Household trash cut into strips no more than 4 foot wide, tied and bundled, & no more than 50 pounds.  Limited to one room per week.

CHRISTMAS TREES - Residents may place their Christmas Trees curbside and Public Works will begin collecting them starting the first workday after New Year's Day and will continue collections weekly through January.  Trees may be dropped off at the Public Works Department located at 56 Robbinsville-Allentown Rd.

COMPUTERS / PRINTERS / MONITORS & COMPUTER ACCESSORIES - Call Public Works at 609-259-0422 to schedule a pickup the last Wednesday of each month or you may drop them off at Public Works.  Mercer County Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day.  See www.mcianj.org for dates and times.

CONCRETE / PAVERS / CINDER BLOCK - Household trash broken up & placed into buckets weighing no more than 50 pounds and in limited quantities (no more than 3 buckets at 1 time)

DIRT OR SAND - Public Works does not accept - check listings for local landscaper for removal.

ELECTRONIC WASTE - example:  VCR's & DVD players, radios, video games, stereos & speakers - Household trash

FIRE EXTINGUISHER - Discharge contents into a bag for garbage.  Drop off the emptied extinguisher at Public Works or call for white goods pickup before the last Wednesday of the month. 

FLAGS (USA & POW) - Drop boxes are located at Police, Municipal Building and Senior Center

FLUORESCENT LIGHT BULBS & TUBES - Mercer County Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day.  See www.mcianj.org for dates and times.   

FURNITURE - example: sofa, chair, mattress, box spring, wood table & dresser - Household trash.  Limited to two items per week.   

INCANDESCENT LIGHT BULBS – Household trash.

MEDICINE & SYRINGE DISPOSAL - information

MOTOR OIL - Drop off at Public Works only.

PAINT
*Latex ONLY - Household trash only after paint is completely dry.  Mix cat litter, sand or dirt into the paint can & let sit until dry.   Place the can(s) at curb with the lid(s) off (we must be able to see that the paint is dry) for pick-up on your collection day. 
*Stains, Varnish & Oil Based - Mercer County Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day.

PIZZA BOXES  Household trash only. These items are no longer recyclable, regardless of condition.

STYROFOAM / PACKING PEANUTS / BUBBLE WRAP
– Household trash.

SWING SETS / JUNGLE GYMS - (wood and plastic) - Household trash - wood must be cut in no longer than 4 foot lengths, tied and bundled, no more than 50 pounds, nails and screws removed or bent over to avoid hazards.  Plastic (example:  Little Tykes/Step 2) broken down and placed at the curb.  Limited to two bundles per week.

TIRES - must be off the rim Drop off at Public Works only
