Township Council

Sheree McGowan

After years of community involvement, Sheree McGowan was sworn in to her first term on Township Council July 1, 2009. She recently completed seven years on the Planning Board, serving as chair for the final two.

Sheree served on the transition team in 2005 when the township changed its form of government, chairing the panel that made recommendations in the area of Planning and Zoning. She rejoins the Affordable Housing Committee and the Rent Leveling Board, now as Council liaison, and will also serve as liaison to the Plan Endorsement committee. Prior to her election, she served on the Cable TV advisory committee and in 2001 worked to pass the bond referendum to build Robbinsville High School.

A 16-year township resident, Sheree holds B.S. degrees in accounting and finance from Rider University, where she also earned her M.B.A. Sheree has enjoyed a successful career in the mortgage industry for more than 20 years.

Sheree and her husband, Mike, have a son who is a student at Robbinsville High School.
