Residents, please be advised that Cablevision contacted the Township to inform us that their contract with the Disney Corporation which owns the network, ABC is set to expire on March 3, 2010.  To date they have not been able to reach an agreement with Disney, and a possible scenario is that come March 3, 2010, Disney may discontinue ABC service to Cablevision subscribers.  Cablevision has no way of predicting how the negotiations will go, and what Disney would do if there are still at an impasse on March 3rd.  Traditionally, networks do not go black during negotiations; however, given their recent experience with the Food Network and HDTV, they felt compelled to alert the Township.  Additional information will be provided as it is  received.
