Resurfacing and Safety Improvement along Interstate Route 195 in the Township of Robbinsville

Please be advised that the Department of Transportation is presently undertaking a Resurfacing and Safety Improvement Contract along Interstate Route 195 in the Townships of Robbinsville and Upper Freehold. The project will involve the milling and paving of I-195 eastbound from milepost 7.16 to 12.09, and westbound from milepost 12.09 to 9.26, as well as curb, guide rail, electrical work, and bridge deck repairs.  At this time, the contractor, Trap Rock, Inc. of Kingston, NJ expects to work weekdays/weeknights to complete the project. The daily hours of work will vary, although the majority of the lane closures will take place off peak at night. Weather permitting, we expect to begin construction with around the clock lane and ramp closures during the weekend of April 30 at the Exit 7 (Robbinsville-Allentown Rd.) interchange. Detour routes will be provided for the ramp closures. The final completion date for the entire project is November 12, 2010. This project is being funded by the Federal Economic Stimulus.
